Location: 1440 Coverdale Dr, Kingston
Why we love it: This waterfront gem is beloved for a reason — easy trails, birdwatching galore, and views of Lake Ontario that make you forget you’re still in city limits.
Bonus: it’s dog-friendly (on leash) and wheelchair accessible in some areas.

Location: 1641 Perth Rd, Glenburnie
Why we love it: Groomed trails, forest boardwalks, marshy lookout points — it’s basically a live-action nature documentary. Open year-round with seasonal activities like maple syrup demos and birding walks.
Location: Access points throughout Kingston — try Douglas Fluhrer Park or Binnington Court
Why we love it: This historic rail trail offers 22 km of flat, bikeable beauty. Great for a longer walk, jog, or ride — with benches and scenic stops for a packed lunch break.

Why we love it: This one’s for the seasoned hikers. With backcountry camping, rugged terrain, and challenging trails like the 11 km Doe Lake Loop, it’s the wilderness escape you've been craving.

Why we love it: Think granite outcrops, quiet lakes, and excellent fall foliage if you don’t mind saving this one for later. It’s also a geology nerd’s paradise.
