March Break plans?

Kingstonlicious prix fixe, IWD, and much more...

Gooood morning everybody and Happy Friday! Thanks for making it through the first week of YGKtoday. Can we talk about that wild weather yesterday?! One minute it was just a chilly day, and the next—boom—flash freeze. Hope you all stayed upright and avoided any surprise skating sessions on the sidewalks or roads!

Today Around YGK:

  • Big news for local businesses

  • Kingstonlicious

  • Just hours left to buy 50/50 raffle tickets to win over $11,500

and much more…

The Answer

On Wednesday we asked, “When prices rise, what do you cut back on first?”
Here are the results:

  • 37% said dining out was first to go

  • 15% said home renos

  • 40% said clothes and shopping would be axed

Looks like dining out and shopping are the first to get the boot—guess it’s meal prepping and wardrobe recycling season!

Weather

Friday
High 1°C | Precipitation: looks like a precipitation-free day!
Low -8°C | Wind: 37 km/h

Expect a sunny day! ☀️

Weather loves to keep us on our toes (like that flash freeze yesterday)! Be sure to check an official weather source closer to the date for the latest forecast. ⛅️

Signing Off

Kingston, we got our hands muddy—and loved every second of it! Yesterday, my friend and I took on the pottery wheel for the first time at Amaranth Stoneware, and let’s just say… Ghost had us believing it would be easier. Spoiler: It was not.

Thankfully, the amazing team at Amaranth Stoneware were there to guide us with patience, skill, and zero judgment for our wobbly creations. By the end, we each made three pieces (I’ll definitely post the pics once they’re glazed and complete)!

Would you try a pottery class? Let me know in the comments!
