Canada’s new Prime Minister Mark Carney has called a snap election for Monday, April 28, seeking a fresh mandate to tackle U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs, sovereignty threats, and economic fallout. Just nine days into the job, Carney is promising tax cuts, housing affordability, and efficiency-focused government reform — while trying to secure his own seat in Ottawa. Meanwhile, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is launching a “Canada First” campaign focused on energy independence, tax cuts, and immigration caps. (Daily Hive)

Kick & Push Festival Seeks Innovative Performances for 2025
Got a bold idea for live performance? Kingston’s Kick & Push Festival is accepting proposals for fully-developed projects and artistic residencies, offering up to 15,000 dollars for presentations and 8,000 dollars for residencies. Five Queen’s Women’s Rugby Athletes Named to Rugby Canada’s U20 Team for May Tour
